Every formula, developed and tested under physician supervision.
These products are formed using the base formula for Angel's Promise Healing Salve by adding or removing one key ingredient to or from each to define the new focused cream. So, they all have a high concentration of components that help manage pain and tissue repair, but with an individual twist for each preparation. Refer to the presentation of Angel's Promise Healing Salve for general details common to all three of these products.
This ointment is made by adding an optimal amount of 4butylresorsinol to Angel's Promise Healing salve to inhibit melanin deposition in newly developing skin cells. The mode of action is: where this salve is placed routinely on skins dark spots over time, as these cells are exfoliated and replaced by newly formed skin cells in which the melanin deposition has been markedly inhibited, the dark spots will be removed and won't return to that area in those new cells.
However, there are many variables. The rate of replacement varies with age; younger people replace skin cells faster than older people. Not all dark spots are anatomically the same as one another. The frequency of application of the salve will vary from person to person and from time to time. So, the time for dark spot removal may vary greatly. Expect results measured in time from at least a few weeks to many months. It is unknown how long the effect will last.
We make this ointment by suspending 20% Zinc Oxide powder and 10% Aloe Vera gel in Angel's Promise Healing Salve. It contains both the tried-and-true combination burn relief component with a base steeped in tissue repair function as the other 70%. That is a recipe for fast healing of minor burns! It is not intended for third degree burns and should not be used for such burns unless administered by a healthcare professional.
One of our founders, the late Richard H Cox, MD, PhD, DMin and professional trumpet player extraordinaire as well as highly regarded brass teacher, devised his first healing salve at the request of several of his professional musician colleagues. They raved about how fast it helped them recover from cold sores!
He and Dr. Mason reformulated it using many of the same ingredients and several others to produce a new, and yes even improved, product. The first result was Angel's Promise™ Healing Salve which, by simply omitting the menthol to prevent losing lips or finger sensitivity, became Gabriel's Promise™ Musicians' Salve, a lip and hand balm.
It can be accessed even during performances to manage cold sores, tired facial and hand muscles and other concerns, extending playing time. Rather than our usual 1 oz jar, it is supplied in a ½ oz squeezable tube with a flip top that can be operated using only one hand. It's fast, simple and effective!
